Best practices for mounting a PSU5

I'm designing a few new S100 boards and plan on using the PSU5 to replace the LM323K. The mounting holes on the board are connected to ground, so I assume that just using the mounting screws to make that connection is fine. Should there be any space between the regulator board and the main board? I was considering using the HDPE bushings that come with the regular TO-3 mounting kit but trimming them flush with the back of the board.

Any recommendations appreciated! Thanks.

The bottom of a PSU5 is ground, same as the original TO3 regulators. If you mount it on top of something that is not ground an isolation washer underneath is recommended but not required. If everything is clean then the solder mask will prevent shorts from occurring.

The ground connection is made through the screws that hold the module in place. Please don't use serrated washers (star washers) but just a screw or a conventional washer.
