I recently purchased one of your ESp8266 Breakouts, which I'm trying to program it using the Arduino IDE. I had assumed I can plug it directly into the machine (MB Pro Intel / OSX 10.8.5) using a generic USB cable ... but I can't get the program to recognize the board. Specifically, no ports are showing up in the IDE port menu. Do I need a driver for the onboard serial to usb chip?
