ESP32_Bat_Pro w/ device separate device on battery.

Hi,

I have an ESP32_Bat_Pro, and I want to control a somewhat high power LED via this ESP (~1W).

My plan to currently do this is to split the battery wire, and have the LED driver powered directly from the battery, with a mosfet controlled by the ESP32 to control it.

However, I realized that this LED might turn on when the USB connector is hooked up.
Would this LED drawing directly from the battery while the charger is attempting to draw current cause issues?

Perhaps I would need to detect if there is USB voltage like discussed in http://forum.ezsbc.com/viewtopic.php?f= ... d7ebb97cf7?
