Hey folks. First time poster here.
I'm designing a 'shield' in Eagle for the ESP32-01 to plug into, to mimic one I designed for an Uno based project, and was wondering what to use for pin layout for the board socket? I can measure and get it right, but I was wondering if there was an object in Eagle that would be usable?
Thanks

Shield layout question
Re: Shield layout question
I don't use Eagle. I have attached a simplified drawing that shows the board dimensions, hole and pin positions.
It would be great if you were to share the footprint with others.

Re: Shield layout question
Curious if you completed your design and if so, are you making it available for others to see/use? Not intending anything for commercial use but I have a couple projects I'm "Playing" with using the ESP32-01 module.rmccown wrote:Hey folks. First time poster here.

Re: Shield layout question
I'm just getting back into this, so I should have something soon-ish
Re: Shield layout question
OK, this looks like a good first cut. I can lay it out in Eagle, at least.

Re: Shield layout question
Following up on this. I have a second run of prototype boards coming from PCBway. The footprint I had used the wrong drill sizes, so the socket for the ESP01 was tight. This one should be fine, I've updated the Eagle library.
